Softball is a mixed, recreational version of baseball for adults 18 and over.  There are 10 players per side and there needs to be a minimum of four women playing for each team.

The Greystones  softball team was started in 2007.  The 2011 season marks the fourth season the Softball Mariners have competed in Softball Ireland’s Leinster League.  We are currently in the third division and hope to move up to second division this year.

The Mariners have teamed up with the first division Flyers to win The Bowl competition at the I.O.S.T. Tournament in Cork for both the 2009 and 2010 seasons under the name Flinstones.

Trainings and games for the 2011 season begin at 6:30pm on Monday April 4th followed by an extra open training on thursday the 7th.  The first Tournament competition will be held on the May bank holiday weekend followed by the start of the season on May 9th. Home games and trainings take place at the upper field at The Charlesland Recreational Centre on Monday evenings.  New players always welcome. Please contact for more information.

Fees for 2011:

€50.00 registration includes €10 sports insurance for the entire season.

€40.00 for unemployed or students.
Full season is 16 games plus play-offs and Tournaments.
