Mariners Field- Charlesland Recreational Centre, Greystones

The Mariners’ home base since late 2006 is Charlesland Sport and Recreation Park in the Charlesland area of Greystones. Wicklow County Council owns the multi-use field which includes some baseball features within the confines of an athletic track infield.

The park also features tennis and basketball courts, a skate park, and five-a-side soccer pitches. There is a car park and clubhouse with toilets, changing rooms/showers, and vending machines. Currently only the Youth Team plays here. The Adult team has training and games in Shanganagh park in Shankill.

From Greystones town centre, proceed south on the main street and turn left at the first roundabout. Travel one mile down the dual carriageway passing the Charlesland housing estate and then turn left at the next roundabout, with the Jackie Skelly fitness centre on your left.

From Dublin, travel south on the N11/M11, taking the new Greystones/Kilcoole exit after Glen of the Downs and Delgany. Turn left and travel approximately one mile, going straight through the roundabout at Eden Gate. Turn right at the next roundabout, at Jacky Skelly fitness centre.

By bus: 184 to Charlesland housing estate – five minute walk further up the road. 84 to Eden Gate – five minute walk after turning left at roundabout. Both buses stop at Greystones DART station.

  1. Hi, I was looking to host a baseball themed birthday party and I was wondering whether the pitch could be rented for such an event. Along with gear if possible.
    Thank you.
