At the Greystones Youth Tournament 2009
The Youth Section is the biggest part of our club.
T-ball, for 5 to 7 year olds, is a fun version of baseball and is an excellent introduction to the game. Instead of hitting a pitched ball, the batter hits the ball off a stationary 'tee'. During the season, T-ball members meet every week for an hour from at Charlesland Sport and Recreation Park.
The
U13 Youth Team for the 8 to 13 year olds meets once or twice per week during the season and is broken into a U10 and a U13 team. Games are played within the club and against other clubs from around Ireland at tournaments in Dublin, Cork, and Greystones. The
U16 Senior Youth team is for for teens. Highlights for this group include the annual North-South Derby game where teams compete for the O'Farrell Cup, and a club squad that competes with teams from around Ireland, and sometimes even abroad.
